How long have you been mixing?: Ive been mixing for the last 9 years

What first got you into music and mixing?: Grew up listening Van Halen, Metallica and Guns & Roses to name but a few. I first got into mixing at the tender age of 13 when a friend got a set of 1210s. Since then ive been putting in the work and honing my skills and taking influence from the top names in the Drum & Bass and Dubstep Scenes.

What equipment do you use?: Im currently using Serato, and a behringer ddm4000 mixer.I also use a kaoss pad for extra flavour. Plans to move to Traktor are in the pipeline.

What is the significance of your DJ name? How did you get that name?: My name comes from an event I run called SUB-REZISTANCE (Cheap plug alert!). A friend started calling me Scott Rezistance and it just stuck.

Who or what are your influences in music? : My influences span several Genres including Metal, Breaks, Electro and Dubstep/Drum & Bass. But basically anything with A bit of edge. SporNoisia16BitDatsikRuskoKrafty-KutsLinkin ParkDisturbed To name but a few....

What do you look for in a beat?: Basically anything that evokes a good vibe. Production values have to be key too.

What was the last vinyl / CD you bought?: The last vinyl is bought before i moved to digital DJing was TC - Evolution LP (Big Album!) =)

What is your favorite vinyl / CD of the month and also of all time?: Fresh - Escape From Planet Monday is a big one for me.

Do you produce your own music?: I produce a variety of different styles, ranging from Hip-Hop to Grime & Dubstep. I also produce studio mixes and mastering.

What software / equipment do you use to produce your music?: Logic. Simples!

Do you host any regular events?: A local night called SUB-Rezistance.

What other DJ or producer do you rate at the moment if any?: Feeling everything coming from the Lifted Music camp. DJ Liquid is smashing it too! Look him up.

What plans do you have in the future for yourself?: Gonna keep doing what im doing and see where it takes me. Record label maybe...
