How long have you been mixing?: Been mixing drum & bass
since 2006 but 9 years in total now.
What first got you into music and mixing?: I grew up with
music.. from my listening to my dad playing his soundsystem
everyday after coming home from school to my brother mixing
oldskool, jungle, drum & bass. When i was 17 i was given a pair
of old worn out belt drive soundlab turntables to learn how to mix
with... from then i was hooked on the idea of djing.
What equipment do you use?: I currently use a pioneer DJM600
mixer and a pair of Technics 1200s
What is the significance of your DJ name? How did you get that
name?: Music floods your ears, mind, body and soul and thats why i
liked the name as a dj name. Discribes how i feel when djing,
listening or raving to music.
Who or what are your influences in music? : My dad, brother and
all the established artists in the scene who make drum & bass
what it is.
What do you look for in a beat?: Just anything that stands out
whether its a beat pattern or bassline or melody and well made.
What was the last vinyl / CD you bought?: Original sin "Grow
your wings" EP Playaz and Lenzman "Bittersweet" Shogun Audio
Vinyl.. I dont buy many CDs
What is your favorite vinyl / CD of the month and also of all
time?: Favorite vinyl at the moment is Lenzman "Bittersweet" Shogun
Audio. Dont have an all time favorite track as i have more than
one.
Do you produce your own music?: I do but haven't worked on any
new material in a long while.
What software / equipment do you use to produce your music?:
Cubase SX3, Sonar 7, Evolution MK-425C 25-Note USB MIDI Keyboard,
2x mackie monitors
Do you host any regular events?: Yes..im a promoter and one of
the owners of Oneblood Promotions/Oneblood events which host events
in london called "Subfusion". The other co-owners are DJ Iron Nox
and Lady Caliber.
What other DJ or producer do you rate at the moment if any?:
There are many.. Bailey, Randall, Friction, Hype, Lenzman,
Spectrasoul, Original sin, Taxman, Heist, Pleasure, Flight, Iron
Nox, Lady Caliber.. and many more
What plans do you have in the future for yourself?: There are
more events lined up for Oneblood in 2010 and sometime down the
line getting down to making some tracks.
